St. Clement - Jewellery box - Earthenware - cobalt blue enamel

Enamelled earthenware jewelry box (faience / barbotine), made by the famous French manufactory Saint-Clément (Lorraine). The box is entirely covered with a glossy cobalt blue glaze, typical of the period between the 1920s and 1930s (Art Deco), capable of creating splendid plays of light and shades on the relief parts. On the base, the impressed model number 4699, the cursive signature "St Clément" and the indication "France" are visible, guaranteeing its absolute authenticity. The three characteristic contact points of the kiln stilts (pernettes) are also visible, bearing witness to the traditional ceramic processing of the time. Excellent vintage condition. The object is intact, it shows no cracks, restorations or evident chips on the visible surface. The enamel fully retains its original brilliance.
