Description:
This work was born from a moment of inspiration in Barcelona, strolling along Las Ramblas, one of those avenues where the city seems to whisper ideas into your ear. I entered an art shop that has always fascinated me and discovered pearlized acrylic inks of extraordinary luminosity. Their transparent and nacreous reflections captivated me immediately, and I felt the need to experiment with them freely and intuitively.
I wanted to create a delicate and atmospheric painting, where light seems to float over the surface. I worked with very soft glazes, letting the colors slowly blend into ethereal and silky transparencies. The bluish, pinkish and ivory tones dialogue with each other calmly and elegantly, while the spontaneous lines made with pastel pencils and oil give movement, emotion, and an almost poetic character.
The medium-grain texture with gold pigments is one of the most special elements of the piece. The work subtly changes depending on the daylight and the angle from which it is viewed: the golds vibrate, pearl glints appear, and the surface gains depth and life of its own. I was precisely interested in that sensation of living painting, capable of transforming with the viewer's gaze.
During the process I deeply enjoyed creating this work. It was a piece made from intuition, the pleasure of discovering new materials, and the freedom to let myself be surprised by each layer and each gesture. I believe that luminous and positive energy remains within the piece and is transmitted very naturally.
Unique work wholly handmade in my studio.
