Ozlem Thompson - Paths V - XXL

Özlem Thompson is a contemporary Turkish-born artist based in London, internationally recognised for her vibrant abstract works inspired by nature, consciousness, quantum physics, and metaphysical exploration. Originally from Istanbul, Thompson studied biology and botany before dedicating herself fully to painting, bringing a scientific sensitivity and organic rhythm into her expressive visual language. Working from her historic Belsize Park studio in London, once associated with Piet Mondrian and Ben Nicholson, she has exhibited internationally across Europe, North America, and the United Kingdom. Her works are held in private collections worldwide and have appeared in numerous international publications.

Thompson has contributed to important public art and charity initiatives, including works created for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations as one of seven selected artists in the UK and participation in London’s celebrated Big Egg Hunt art project. Her collectors include internationally recognised figures such as Brian May, Anita Dobson, Maria Friedman, and Andy Nyman. “Paths V” is a striking abstract composition that reflects Thompson’s fascination with emotional journeys, interconnected human experience, and the unseen pathways that shape existence. Through bold movement, energetic brushwork, and luminous colour relationships, the painting evokes a sense of transition and transformation, inviting the viewer to interpret their own personal narrative within the layered composition. Balancing spontaneity with harmony, the work demonstrates the artist’s distinctive ability to merge metaphysical ideas with contemporary abstraction.

Created in 2020, the artwork is an original acrylic painting on canvas measuring approximately 39 x 59 inches. The original gallery listing price for the work was approximately US$2,140, equivalent to approximately €1,900 EUR at current exchange rates.

The artwork is hand-signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. For safe international delivery, the painting will be carefully shipped rolled in a protective art tube.
