A flagship-grade professional equalizer from Technics (Matsushita Electric), representing the pinnacle of Japanese hi-fi engineering from the Golden Era of audio.

The SH-8065, introduced in 1983, is widely regarded as one of the finest graphic equalizers ever produced for home hi-fi use, and remains highly sought after by audiophiles and collectors worldwide.

The SH-8065 divides the full audio spectrum (16 Hz – 25 kHz) into 33 bands per channel — left and right independently — at precise 1/3-octave intervals, the same professional standard used in recording studios and broadcast facilities.

Each band is controlled by a dedicated slider, so the entire frequency response curve is visible at a glance.

Semiconductor (active) inductors replace conventional coil inductors in every band filter, dramatically reducing phase distortion and improving precision.

A switchable range control allows the user to select ±12 dB for broad tonal shaping or the ultra-precise ±3 dB mode for fine acoustic correction.

With a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 100 dB, total harmonic distortion of just 0.0025%, and channel separation of 70 dB, this unit performs at a level comparable to professional studio equipment.

The unit is finished in elegant black with a brushed-metal front panel, and the 66 illuminated sliders (33 per channel) create a striking visual display when in use.

This example has been tested and confirmed fully operational, connected to an amplifier, speakers, and player with normal reproduction verified.

Condition
