Every surface tells you something different depending on where the light is coming from.
Golden Queen is a large-format handbuilt female torso — a form that has occupied sculptors from antiquity to the present, from the Venus de Milo to Koons — here reinterpreted through a geometric, low-poly language and finished in a surface that no foundry and no mould could produce. The structural armature was built by hand and consolidated with hot-melt adhesive before being covered in fragmented holographic optical media — disc fragments that carry their own internal prismatic quality, refracting light into gold, silver, rose and blue depending on angle and intensity. The entire surface was then sealed under multiple layers of epoxy resin and gold mineral glitter, locking the iridescent mosaic permanently and creating a finish that photographs cannot fully capture. In person, this piece moves with light in a way that very few sculptures do.
The crown is a permanent element of the work — not an accessory but a statement. This torso is not displayed. It reigns.
The headless female form has a long art historical lineage — from Rodin to contemporary body-positive sculpture — here crowned and geometric, asserting both fragmentation and sovereignty simultaneously.
Technique: Hand-built structural composite / hot-melt adhesive consolidation / holographic optical media mosaic / multi-layer epoxy resin / gold mineral glitter

Comparable works — holographic and iridescent female torso sculptures — are produced in limited editions by established galleries at €500–€3,000+. Golden Queen is an unrepeatable original.
About the artist:
Golden Queen is a work by Corina Dinu, a Romanian artist born in 1979 with formal training in fine arts and design, including studies at Istituto Marangoni. Driven by a lifelong passion for beauty in all its forms, Corina works across painting, sculpture, and fashion — creating objects that are at once technically demanding and visually immediate. Her sculptural practice explores the intersection of the classical figure, geometric abstraction, and material experimentation.
Edition: Unique — 1/1. Signed.
