Flirt | Paul Wunderlich
"Flirt" is a print from the late 1960s, a period that represents his work where magic realism and sensual eroticism are fused. The title "Flirt" means a game of love or flirting between a man and a woman.
Artist Profile:
Born in Eberswalde near Berlin, Germany in 1927. After studying at the art school in Hamburg, he taught printmaking techniques at a university. In 1959, he began creating lithographs and oil paintings in earnest. In 1962, his lithographs attracted attention in Paris, and he continued to produce works in printmaking, oil painting, watercolor, and sculpture. In 1963, he held his first solo exhibitions abroad in Miami and San Francisco, and won numerous international art prizes.
