AMA • Pope (1985) presents Aurora NotArt, a signed resin sculpture in argent, edition 6/20, 2025, 20 cm high, 9 cm wide and 9 cm deep, weighing 195 g, manufactured in France by AMA and sold direct by the artist.
Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora NotArt" - 6/20
When art dissolves into business.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Original Fake, Aurora Authentic Fake, Aurora Get Rich… AMA continues its ironic exploration of luxury codes, perceived value, and the slogans that govern our era.
“Aurora NotArt” – Not Art, Only Business condense the era into three simple, almost cynical words, engraved like an advertising truth… and yet transformed into a luminous, chrome, hypnotic object, at the border of a manifesto.
On the base, the message is blunt:
NOT ART.
And right after, without unnecessary poetry, the phrase completes itself:
ONLY / BUSINESS.
A cold, confident declaration.
A punchline that sounds like a rule of the modern game: this isn’t art… it’s business.
The day: a mirror-like icon, bright, almost clinical.
The night: a northern lights of reflections and glints, immersive, fascinating, almost “too beautiful” to be innocent.
A deliberate contrast: the spectacle on one side, the truth on the other.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA authenticity certificate.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature-required delivery.
Features:
- 7 luminous colors
- 3 diffusion modes (steady, faded transitions, simple transitions)
- Electric power via USB cord with switch (included)
- Height: 20 cm
- Width: 9 cm
- Depth: 9 cm
Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a meticulous demand for detail and a careful visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wonder-filled gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also through currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether for a gift, a keepsake or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art and pop art creations (limited edition or not), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, products of the agrifood and fashion industries (sports, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Conscious of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously divert labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to evaluate the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos… After the sale, no unwarranted claims will be entertained. Thank you for your understanding.
