No empty space. Every centimeter of this canvas is occupied by leaves — layered, intertwined, dense as a forest seen from the inside, from the very heart of the vegetation. From the almost absolute black at the bottom, color rises in a pink progression that goes from deep burgundy to the softest pale pink, almost luminous at the top. The leaves are not decorative — they are the painting: every mark is a leaf, every layer a branch, every touch of color life accumulating on life. It’s a painting that leaves no room to breathe — and in this lack of breath, strangely, one breathes very well.
