Description from the seller
Mark Brusse (1937) is a Dutch sculptor, painter and graphic artist, known for his poetic and versatile body of work. His work often arises from found materials, wood, stone and metal, which he brings together into assemblages and sculptures full of symbolism and imagination. Influences from his many travels – from Paris and New York to Japan and South Korea – are clearly visible in his art, in which stillness, simplicity and poetry play an important role. In addition to sculptures and objects Brusse also made paintings, collages and graphics. His work balances between playfulness and mystery and invites the viewer to discover new meanings in everyday forms and materials.
Dimensions of the work with frame: 70 x 91 cm
Dimensions of the work without frame: 54 x 76 cm
The work is viewable in our gallery. Additionally, Art Dumay operates a frame shop (this year their 85th anniversary) and a restoration studio. So if you would like to use these services, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
