Description from the seller
Grand decorative panel on silk attributed to Fabbriziani & Calandra
Italy, 1970s
Important large-format decorative work (150 × 92 cm including frame), attributed to the famous Roman atelier Fabbriziani & Calandra, known for its refined Orientalist creations intended for prestigious interiors of the seventies.
The work depicts a suggestive composition with a white tiger and a spotted feline immersed among bamboo and Asian vegetation, in a scenographic balance with a strong visual impact, clearly inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics reinterpreted through Italian Mid-Century taste.
Made with artistic screen printing on silk applied to a rigid support, the panel preserves all the decorative refinement typical of Fabbriziani & Calandra: chromatic elegance, strong scenographic presence and a refined dialogue between Oriental art and Italian design of the seventies.
The work bears the atelier’s signature and is accompanied by its original black lacquered frame.
General condition very good.
In terms of execution quality, dimensions and subject matter, the piece sits perfectly within the high-end modern collectibles and international interior design markets, making it ideal for luxury environments, vintage collections or decorating projects in Japandi, Hollywood Regency and Oriental Modern styles.
