Description from the seller
This spectacular figurative work transports us to the golden age of aviation. Bathed in the golden light of a late afternoon, the scene features an elegant couple leaning against a majestic propeller aircraft with a gleaming silver fuselage. The man, dressed in a classic leather aviator jacket, and the woman, wearing a delicate floral summer dress, gaze together at the horizon with an expression of calm and romance. Technical mastery shines through the handling of the metallic reflections on the aircraft’s body, acting like a distorted mirror that captures the surrounding environment. The elongated shadows on the tarmac enhance the cinematic dimension of this composition, which celebrates the spirit of adventure, post-war nostalgia, and the timeless aesthetics of Americana.
