Achille Pace (Italy, 1923–2021) presents a pair of original aquafortes titled Giovenale, hand-signed, edition 13/30, in black, on Fabriano paper, with sheets about 25 × 70 cm and image sizes around 49 × 13 cm and 48.5 × 18.5 cm, in excellent condition.

Achille Pace (Italy, 1923–2021)
“Giovenale” – pair of etchings
First half of the early 2000s approximately
Important pair of original etchings by the Italian artist Achille Pace, a historic figure in Italian sign research and abstract art of the second half of the 20th century, as well as among the founders of Gruppo Uno.
The works, both titled “Giovenale,” can be traced to the graphic production of the early 2000s and present the artist’s characteristic minimalist and poetic language, built through essential signs, spatial suspensions, and graphic symbols of strong compositional balance.
Technique: original etching on Fabriano paper.
The paper is identifiable with the historic Fabriano mark identifiable by the watermark with a crown in the shape of a stylized “M” superimposed by a square cross.
Sheet dimensions: about 25 × 70 cm each.
Image dimensions:
etching with fish motif: about 49 × 13 cm;
etching with element resembling a lantern: about 48.5 × 18.5 cm.
The works are signed and pencil-numbered at the lower margins.
Edition with a small print run.
Print date not specified but attributable to the early 2000s.
Provenance:
dfrom the private collection of Corrado Bongiovanni, son of the torcoliere Luciano Bongiovanni who oversaw the printing.
