Description from the seller
Vintage Enamel Electric Hazard Sign – "Nie dotykać!" – Poland, Mid 20th Century
In this lot is an authentic and fascinating enamel-painted industrial warning sign, originating from Poland and dating to the mid-20th century (People's Republic of Poland era - PRL).
The sign features a strong visual impact stencil graphic, characterized by the classic skull with crossed tibias, pierced by a bright red lightning bolt, a universal symbol of high voltage danger.
The Polish text reads:
"Nie dotykać! Urządzenie elektryczne!" > (Do not touch! Electrical equipment!)
The plate has a slight convex bulge, typical of enamel work from the period, which gives it a beautiful three-dimensionality when hung on the wall. The back shows the natural and evocative rusting of the iron over time, certifying its authenticity and historical lived-in history.
Perfect as a collectible piece, industrial loft-style decor element, or to give a unique, characterful touch to a modern environment.
