B. Morah's original 2026 acrylic painting Bosque Ingrávido 119 XL, a surreal landscape on cotton canvas 100 x 75 cm, signed by hand and unframed, from Spain and part of a post-2020 series inspired by Magritte.
Description from the seller
WEIGHTLESS FOREST 119 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism.
This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Weightless Forest,” the trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that tethered them to the ground. The landscape becomes the stage of the improbable: a forest that is not sustained by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is not incidental: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the everyday becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air force us to reconsider the concept of what is organic and what is stable, while the chromatic play —with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows— intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series poses essential questions: What happens when we take away the weight of nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Weightless Forest” is both a metaphor and a provocation, a visual liberation that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space.
“Weightless Forest” by itself already evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics but also our perception of what a forest should be.
