In the light, the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, the structure and depth change, individual layers emerge more strongly. The work feels spatial and physical – perception arises while walking, standing, and lingering.

Frequency COBALT is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I transfer rhythm, pause and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions generate tensions comparable to held tones, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.

Title: Frequency COBALT
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and heavy-gel structure paste on canvas, built up in layers with various spatulas. The pigments form elevations and overlays with calm, pulsating tension.
Only materials of the highest quality are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex – all produced locally in Austria.
Frame: Wide hanging frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The images were photographed under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing it under direct or indirect light to fully bring out the color play and make the works feel alive.
