Beautiful traditional cowbell with a solid metal bell and decorative leather strap. The red leather band is finished with colorful wool fringes and features multiple metal ornaments, including a sun motif, a shepherd figure, and a cow. This type of bell was used as both an ornamental and identification bell for livestock during Alpine pastures and folkloric processions.
The bell is in good used condition with a beautiful natural patina appropriate to its age. The leather strap shows light wear and aging marks, contributing to its authentic character. The bell produces a bright, full tone.
