Description from the seller
In the past decades, painter Sam Dillemans has exhibited only a few times, including at the Antwerp Rubens House and at the Castle of Gaasbeek, where he presented a series of portraits of writers. The documentary about his work, ‘The Madness of Detail,’ made a strong impression both at home and abroad. In April 2018, a permanent exhibition space dedicated to Dillemans’ work was opened. On that occasion, for the first time, a book with an overview of his entire oeuvre is published.
Sam Dillemans was born in Leuven in 1965, but has been working for several decades in Borgerhout. He paints, studies what precedes, searches, finds, and searches again. And that has been the case since his early teens.
This lithograph, number 50 of 300, is unframed, and is accompanied by the deluxe edition of the book Tentoonstellingsruimte in a luxury box.
