A prominent artist in the Stuttgart art scene of the 1960s and 1970s, an occasional collaborator with the great Joseph Beuys, and a protagonist at Documenta 1977, Rudolf Schoofs is primarily known for his uniquely experimental and distinctive graphic design. This lithograph with monochrome backgrounds combines character lines with informalist elements typical of the 1960s, while still incorporating social criticism with elegant irony.
