Traditional Japanese Craft – Made in Japan

Size
Height: 7 cm×Width: 6.5 cm×Depth: 6.5 cm

This elegant Japanese 棗Natsume tea caddy was created by Uihyo (憂瓢) and is intended for storing matcha powder used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony (Chanoyu).

The piece is finished in deep black urushi lacquer and decorated with refined gold 蒔絵Maki-e depicting stylized pine needles and flowing arabesque vines. Pine motifs have long been admired in Japanese art as symbols of longevity, strength, and enduring beauty.
