Description from the seller

Painting by the renowned Romagnol painter Maceo Casadei (Forlì 1899 – 1992), titled "Papaveri". The work portrays a floral still life with a strong lyrical and expressive accent.
A slender bouquet of poppies in vivid shades of orange and red, mingled with small buds and white flowers, supported by bright green stems.
The brushwork is vibrant and thick, typical of Casadei’s artistic maturity. The artist blends the solid twentieth-century Romagna figurative tradition with post-impressionist influences learned during his historic youthful sojourns in France.
The painting bears the authentic autograph signature of the author clearly visible in the lower right corner.
The back of the painting clearly shows the cataloging label 11002 SS applied by an auction house or by an art gallery. At the top, there is a trace of a rectangular ink stamp, partially erased by time, which is the authentic signature of a Romagna gallery or the stamp of a local exhibition to which the painting participated.
