Magnificent classic Byzantine icon depicting the Last Supper (The Mystical Supper / O Deipnos O Mystikos), after the masterpiece by the famous Cretan painter Michael Damaskinos (16th century).

This well-crafted Orthodox icon is a faithful reproduction executed with great precision.

The scene portrays Christ surrounded by his twelve apostles around the sacred table, in an architectural composition typical of the late Cretan school, blending Byzantine traditions with influences from the Italian Renaissance.

The upper part is adorned with a celestial depiction showing angels in prayer around the Holy Cross, rising from the clouds.

The work is distinguished by the richness of its hand-painted details and the intensity of its sacred colors (reds, deep blues and ochres) which contrast beautifully with a traditional bright gold background.

The wooden panel features a red border typical of devotional icons and a delicately craquelured surface that gives it a beautiful patinated and authentic appearance.

The back of the icon, with dark-stained wood, is fitted with its original hanging hardware and retains its official multilingual warranty certificate, stating that it is a museum-quality copy of a classical Byzantine icon, executed on oilcloth, wood and a gold ground after the original kept at Saint Catherine's Monastery in Sinai.
