A gold bar produced by casting can be handled without worry to feel the high specific weight of 99.99% pure gold in the hand, without fearing to damage the bar or affect it with fingerprints. Casting bars naturally have rounded edges and small solidification lines due to the manufacturing process. This makes every Au bar a unique piece.
