Beautiful hand-tufted carpet, pure new wool – size approx. 170 x 240 cm From the Global Design series by Bomat/Belgium.
Alexandra Alexandru, known by her artist name 'Jicol', is the daughter of Matel Alexandru, a famous film director and star actor of the Bucharest National Theatre. Shuttling between Paris and Bucharest, Jicol created 2 tapestries for the curator/manufacturer Bomat in Belgium. These were manufactured in a very limited edition, hand-tufted. L'Automnne was one of the designs, Reve d'Enfant was the second. Alexandra Jicol now resides in California.
