Set of three handcrafted Damask knives - 1 long chef's knife, 1 shorter chef's knife, 1 paring chef’s knife - 200 + layers damask steel - handle made of horn and camel bone

Set of three beautiful, handmade cooks knives made from damask steel. Each knife has an unique pattern, as is handmade in an artisan way. The history of damask steel goes back hundreds of years. The legend mentions damask knives that are so strong that they can cleave a gun barrel in two and that they can split a falling hair. These are of course legends but they indicate that these are special knives. The handle is made of horn (black) and camel bone (white). Are in new condition and have never been used. Our company imports these knives exclusively from South Asia. They are not available in stores. Technical characteristics: Hand-forged sharp blade of 1095 and 15N20 high-and low-carbon steel, with more than 200 layers damask steel. Detailed forging process (checked with optical lens). Precision heat treatment methods were used so that the sharpest edges are visible. Hardness steel of the chef’s knives: 55 HRC on the Rockwell scale. Characteristics knives: razor-sharp, durable and rust resistant. - Long chef’s knife Total length: 33.5 cm. Length blade: 21.5 cm. Blade thickness: 0.2 cm. Width blade: 4.2 cm. Net weight: 237 g. - Shorter chef’s knife: Total length: 24.2 cm. Length blade: 13.2 cm. Blade thickness: 0.2 cm. Width blade: 2.6 cm. Net weight: 124 g. - Paring chef’s knife: Total length: 22.2 cm. Length blade: 11.2 cm. Blade thickness: 0.2 cm. Width blade: 2.6 cm. Net weight: 120 g. Maintaining the knife: Damask steel is a very special, artisan product with a high carbon value. As a result, Damask knives require special care for use and it’s best, when washing the knife, that no detergent is used. It is recommended that the knife be cleaned with water after each use, then once it is dry, it should be coated with a layer of (olive) oil. This is how they retain their natural quality. Will be shipped registered with track and trace code.
