Parker 61 Fountain pen - Black/Rolled Gold - circa 1960 - 14 carat solid gold nib - Original box and manual
I am selling this Parker 61 fountain penfrom the 1960's. The pen is made of black plastic and has a rolled gold cap. The pen looks good (some signs of use but nothing special). It has a 14 carat solid gold nib (size F for Fine). The Parker 61 was the first pen to use a self filling ability without moving parts based on the capillary effect. If the pen is dipped in ink for 20 seconds the ink will be sucked up into a rolled perforated sheet inside the barrel.
The capillary system works properly and it writes well of course (see pictures). The pen comes delivered in the original box that also contains the manual.
