Ribbed dish with lavish 'Master of the Rocks' decoration - China - ca 1700 (Kangxi period)
Very good condition

A beautiful Chinese dish with at the centre a round decoration of a scholar on a rock formation, looking out over a river landscape with many rocks, all in 'Master of the Rocks' decoration, with the rocks filled in with many lines, creating a beautiful effect. A high rock formation in the background. Water is depicted using blue dots. Around this, a double circle. Outside this is a decoration of four blossom branches. A blue circle on the outer rim. The back is decorated with bamboo branches.

Condition: the dish is in very good condition. The dish has some minor edge fritting, is otherwise entirely pristine.
Diameter: 11.5 cm
Shipping method: the lot is shipped without the depicted stand. The vase (used to indicate the size) is not included. It will be packaged with care and shipped insured. If you purchase multiple lots from me in this auction, you will only pay shipping costs once for shipping abroad.
