A rare and complete set of 6 ceramic tiles designed by Salvador Dali in 1954. The ceramic tiles are still in their original packaging. The tiles have been manufactured in the well known ceramics factory El Siglo in Ondra Castellon (Spain). El Siglo manufactures high quality tiles based on old traditions since 1897. The used production techniques of the tiles makes every tile unique and could lead to small differences in for instance colour and size. Tiles that did not meet the high standards used by Salvador Dali where sorted out by him and destroyed.
The 6 ceramic tiles have the following titles:
"Les Guitares"
"Les Fléchettes"
"Le Baiser de Feu"
"Le Soleil Vegétal"
"L´Étoile de Mer"
"Les Colombes"
All ceramic tiles are signed in the plate by Salvador Dali and are in very good condition. Each tile has a size of around 20 by 20cm.
With the tiles comes (a copy) of a by Salvador Dali signed Certificate of Authencity (in English).
