Kadir van Lohuizen (1963) is a Dutch photographer.
When he left high school in 1982, he started traveling and photographing. In 1988 he became a photojournalist. His work is published in Vrij Nederland, Trouw, NRC Handelsblad, de Volkskrant, De Morgen, Paris Match, The Independent, Newsweek and Time.
Van Lohuizen won a Silver Camera in 1994, 1997 and 2001. In 2007, Van Lohuizen won the Visa d'Or photo prize for the photo report he made for the French newspaper Le Monde in Chad.
Kadir was one of the winners of World Press Photo 18 in 2018.
Kadir van Lohuizen donated the photo to the Rosa Spier House for this auction.
