Adri van Rooijen (1936) is a Dutch visual artist.
He followed 1954 to 1963 courses at the higher technical school and at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture. From 1963 to 1972 he studied at the evening course of the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam. He was a pupil of Nynke Schepers, of Cor Hund and of Wim Vaarzon Morel jr. Initially Van Rooijen worked as a restorer of the Oude Kerk in the framework of monument conservation in Amsterdam. After completing his education at the Rijksakademie, Van Rooijen established himself as a sculptor and medalist.
Adri van Rooijen donated this work to the Rosa Spier House for this auction.
