A seated Fante figure on a typical Akan stool-figure, Ghana.

Collected between 1970 and 1980, private Belgian collection.

Wood, gray pigments, and white kaolin remains
H= 30 cm. Cracks in the wood on body and face ( see pictures) One hole under the chin, feet missing.
The pictures are darker than the statue that is a pale white ocre color.

It probably has been washed for one or another ritual and depicts a proverb..
