This French school clock or mini comtoise consists of a hexagonal wooden case with the movement and the dial and the dial being sealed by a glass lid.
In the bottom of the wooden case is a valve to initialise the pendulum of the movement. On the inside of this valve is a note by clock maker Sil de Vries, Mook.
The edge of the glass lid is damaged on various spots (see pictures). The glass in the lid is old.
The movement is a small edition of a comtoise and it has been repaired by the named clock maker a couple of years ago. Now the movement was only provided with some oil. The dial is made of glass.
The movement runs well and strikes a round gong well. Two minutes after striking the required number of strikes of the whole hour, it is repeated. Comes with a key.
The clock can be picked up in Almere. Will be packaged with care and shipped registered and insured.
