Beautiful French miniature, painted on ivory, behind convex glass.
Napoleon II, born 20 March 1811 and died on 22 July 1832 at the age of 21.
He was King of Rome and after 1818 Duke of Reichstadt.
And he was the son of Napoleon I, Emperor of the French and his second wife, Marie Louise of Austria.
His father, Napoleon I, did in 1814 and 1815 abdication whereby the four year old Napoleon II was Emperor of the French.
