Krikor Bedikian (Armenian: Գրիգոր Պետիկեան) Born in Ankara (where his judge father was murdered before his eyes) around 1908 and died in Paris on 24th November 1981, is a painter of Armenian descent. Then he wanders to Constantinople, then is found in orphanages in Corfu and Beirut. There, he made his first real drawings.
In 1928, he went to Paris. There he tried fine arts, then turned to the Julian Academy (There, he became Missak Manouchian’s friend, whom he also used as his model). Later, he left him in order to perfect his apprenticeship on his own in museums and old books of magic spells.
In 1937 his first exhibition took place in Paris, at the Salon de la Société des Beaux-Arts, he received the first prize.
