A set of four landscape tiles, made around 1880 at Tichelaar in Makkum, Friesland.
Koninklijke Tichelaar in Makkum is one of the oldest companies in the Netherlands, the factory was founded around 1660.
These tiles were made during the period when Tichelaar was in the spotlight, at home and abroad.
These types of tiles were placed not only on walls, but also in tables and coatracks.
These are traditional performances: village with church and houses, as well as a well and boats.
The tile at the bottom right of the overview photo has a chip on the back. Otherwise, the tiles are intact.
The tiles will be well packaged and shipped with track & trace.
