A nice Roman bronze applique of the head of the god Mithras, with incised curly cascading locks, wearing a Phrygian cap. Mithras, God of the sun, justice, contract, and war.

Super dark glossy patina with nice surfaces, good quality.

The seller of this lot hereby guarantees that this object was obtained legally. Purchased by the current owner in the UK in 2020 from Ex Suffolk Gentleman Collection, 90's.
