A small blue glazed amulet in the form of a locust with hieroglyphs to the base of a scarab beetle with sun disc (Khepri).

The sun disc is one of the hieroglyphs that refers to the god Ra.

the text reading: Neb Kheper Re
the Pharaoh is named Neb-Kheper-Ra, (meaning King-Manifested-Ra), (King-transformed-(as)-Ra) and could be a kind of rebus that holds a religious meaning used as an emblemata on this superb little object.

Vibrant blue glaze and nice detail. A rare subject amulet not often seen.
