A nice selection of cast bronze ancient Anatolian arrowheads, featuring both bilobate and leaf shaped arrowheads. The surface of each is covered in a beautiful green patination and earthly encrustations.
Anatolia, known as Asia Minor (modern day Asian Turkey), refers to an ancient peninsula that once had rigorous cultural contacts with numerous Ancient Near Eastern cultures. Anatolian bronze weapons present a strong stylistic and topological adherences to the Luristan bronze prototypes that were produced during the Iron Age. Having been strongly impacted by Luristan bronze culture, Anatolian weapons were used as one of the commonest burial offerings, indicating the importance of bronze weapons of the Iron Age Anatolia.
