Bactrian Bronze Seal Stamp
Circa 3rd Century BC

A bow-shaped Bactrian bronze stamp seal, featuring a simple but beautiful openwork design. The seal stamp features two triangular components with a central bar connecting them, forming an overall bow-shape. Please note there is a breakage at the centre of the stamp.

Bactria or (Bactriana) was the name of a historical region in central Asia. Several important trade routes from India and China passed through Bactria from the Bronze Age onwards, which allowed for the accumulation of vast wealth by the predominantly nomadic population.

Measurements: circa 5cm length, 3.2cm height
