Baccarat - Engraved and gilded monogram gourd-shaped wine carafe - Renaissance Style - Crystal

Description
Baccarat - Engraved and gilded monogram gourd-shaped wine carafe - Renaissance Style - Crystal
France - Late 19th century

Beautiful Baccarat crystal wine decanter.
Flattened shape, blown button stopper, cut engraved decor, our decanter is inspired by models of the Renaissance and the 17th century glassware. Beautiful LV monogram engraved and gilt with fine gold.

Older production prior to 1936, it doesn’t have the signature of Baccarat, the crystal glass-making factory started to affix its circular acid-etched stamp only from this date. Similar models can be found in the Baccarat catalogues. The catalogues are actually combinations of shapes and designs but represent only a part of Baccarat's production.

Beautiful original and rare model, it in good overall condition with small chips at the neck and under the foot.

Height: 30.5 cm (24.5 cm without stopper).
