WORK:

Pharmacopoeia collegii regii medicorum Edinburgensis. Compiled by the Royal College of Physicians, basically consists of a catalogue of medicines and preparations. The aim was standardising medical prescriptions and substances used in treatments. The work first appeared in 1699. The recipes include everything from the herbal remedies used by the ancients to the animal substances so popular at the time, and other ingredients according to the latest research in science and chemistry at the time. Among the materials used we find goat's blood, dried bees, claw crabs, and toad skins.

Rare book, only one in the Collective Catalogue of Spain’s Bibliographic Heritage.

Rebound at the end of the 20th century, very good condition in general, some sporadic stains, last 12 sheets (advertising of the time) of lower quality, so they are acidified and with some stains. The most important below.
