Description
Baccarat, Le Creusot - salt or perfume bottle in cut crystal mounted vermeil - Louis XVI - Crystal, Vermeil
France - 19th / 20th century

Travelling salt or perfume bottle with diamond-cut ball shape, Regency style cap in vermeil (solid silver gilt with fine gold). Production of the Royal Creusot or Baccarat factory, circa 1830-40.

Our piece is of course not signed: it is a production from the early 19th century (100 years before the introduction in 1936 of the acid-etched marks).
The silver pieces are marked with the boar's head silver hallmark.
Beautiful object witnessing the refinement of the high society ladies in the early 19th century.

In excellent condition. The crystal cap, also in perfect condition, is original. Well-preserved vermeil with slight wear.
