Beautiful pair of matching Venetian candlesticks, classic and typical for the double shaping on the base, pieces of excellent workmanship.
Typical Venetian manufacture, a bronze version imitating molten silver candlesticks. The base has four degrading grooved shapes with a solid cast bottom.
The central body joined to the well grooved base and supports the round candle holder cup.
One is in its original patina of the time while the other (beautifully shiny) has been cleaned by me, also in the lower part, which could be deceiving as regards the originality and the age of the piece. They are twin candlesticks and therefore of the same age and manufacture.
