Beautiful Italian Saharian jacket of a pilot officer of the Royal Italian Air Force, mod. 1932, used by the entire Italian Army during World War II. This standard issue jacket, used in African territories, features a rich medal set as shown by the ribbons above the left breast pocket. In order, there are: two silver medals for military valour, two war crosses, commander of the Order of the Crown of Italy, three years of World War II, war volunteer, Ethiopian campaign and Spanish campaign. Beautiful pair of shoulder pads in dark blue cloth with French wire embroidery bearing the symbol of the special department, in this case of a pilot, the royal crown, the pair of stars as the rank and the profiling of the entire shoulder pad as required for the rank of lieutenant colonel. This uniform is sold together with its white cotton hat for lieutenant colonel. The cap features the lieutenant colonel rank band on the entire circumference of the hat as per regulations until the end of World War II. Both pieces are in excellent condition and absolutely original in all their parts.
