Persian Glass seal, 1,6 x 1,3 cm
Circa 600-400 BC

This Persian glass seal is cone-shaped with a hole for a string and a base that is decorated with a depiction of an eagle. Persian seals correspond in type and use to Mesopotamian seals. In this case it is an amulet pendant that could also be used as a seal.
