Large Roman military bronze crossbow fibula with punched decoration and onion-head terminals.

Length: 79 mm
Width: 45,1 mm

Good solid condition, complete with pin. Cross bar slightly deformed. Very nice and practically uncleaned patina, traces of iron deposits and earthen encrustations. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.

Purchased by the current owner at a Dutch collector's fair in 2020.
