Original - Earthenware - Excellent condition

Set of 2 decorative historic earthenware plates intended for wall hanging, from the series dedicated to the Garibaldi era, made by the earthenware factory of Gien (France), whose hallmark is featured on the bottom. Circa 1861.

Each of these plates is decorated in the middle with a scene depicting an episode of the Garibaldi era, and bears the following caption:

For plate no. 5: ‘General Garibaldi’s entrance into Palermo’; It measures 20.3 cm in diameter.

For plate no. 6: ‘Battle of Milazzo, the steamer Tukeri fires on the Neapolitan cavalry’; it measures 21.5 cm in diameter.

These two plates are in excellent condition, as shown in the pictures.
