Description
Dutch button glasses circa 1820 (6) - Biedermeier style - Crystal
Netherlands - About 1820

A beautiful set of six antique umbrella glasses / button glasses, dating around 1820. The glasses are mouth-blown. The model has a double flat knot with elongated facet / almond cut.

The glasses are built up with a wide foot with a stem in the centre with a flat, sharp knot halfway up and at the top another also wider sharp flat knot. The chalice is faceted.

The glasses are all in excellent condition. Glasses differ slightly in weight and size as they are handmade, a characteristic of glasses from this period. Only at the bottom of the foot some sliding signs.

The glasses will be carefully packaged and shipped with registration.
