Adamson “1949” by Oscar Jacobsson
A very nice copy of this Swedish pantomime comic (comic without text) by Jacobsson. Adamson was the first foreign comic strip that was published in Belgium in Ons Volkske. Marc Sleen got his inspiration for several gags from these Adamson comic strips.
A very nice album with very nice covers, beautiful sharp corners, only very light signs of age (light wear on the turn-ins, small tear at the top of the spine), front cover with a very small (moisture) spot in the lower right, ink spot on the front cover (below the M in Adamson) appears to be printing ink, probably originated in the printing company. The book block is practically without signs of reading or age.
Translations of this album were published in, amongst others, Germany, France and the USA (under the name Silent Sam).
A great classic, the album is over 70 years old.
