Paul Gerson Unna, (September 8, 1850, Hamburg – January 29, 1929, Hamburg) was a famous German physician specialized in dermatology and one of the pioneers in dermatopathology.
Among world's first P.G. Unna investigated the biochemical processes of the skin and was the first to describe the stratum granulosum. In 1894 he introduced layer projection as a method for skin investigations.
Superb and extremely rare work.
It contains 55 plates outside the text and 293 pages of text with explanations and related references.
Essentially very clean on the inside, only two stamps, otherwise without stains and without underlining or additions.
Original publishing house cover, slightly to medium dirty and gnawed at the corners.
