review La Mode Illustrée journal de la famille. Fifth year of this luxurious periodic publication on Parisian fashion at the end of the Second Empire adorned with 50 gorgeous tipped-in engraved plates that have been finely enhanced with a brush at the time.
The iconography is complemented with countless black and white fashion engravings in the text and needlework patterns.
Half shagreen binding, spine with raised bands adorned with gilded tooling, green percaline boards.
Sturdy volume, the leather has some minor abrasions near the headcap, tailcap is slightly damaged, the spine remains decorative. Faded percaline. Fresh and clean inside, 2 loose plates.
